The Effect of the Early Away Goal Australia A League

Last season in the Australian A League where the away teams ( regular season ) opened the scoring with a goal in the 0-20 minutes time band, 88% ended over 2.5 goals, 50% ended over 3.5 goals, 38% ended over 4.5 goals and 23% ended over 5.5 goals

Both teams scored in 85% and over 1.5 goals was landed in the first half in 69%

50% produced a goal(s) 80+ minutes

The home teams won 31%, 15% ended a DRAW and the away teams won 54%

 

This  season in the Australian A League where the away teams ( regular season ) opened the scoring with a goal in the 0-20 minutes time band, 67% ended over 2.5 goals, 61% ended over 3.5 goals, 39% ended over 4.5 goals and 28% ended over 5.5 goals

Both teams scored in 83% and over 1.5 goals was landed in the first half in 67%

50% produced a goal(s) 80+ minutes

The home teams won 11%, 22% ended a DRAW and the away teams won 67%
